Malaysia's HZ Green Pulp Expands Global Reach with Hotpack JV

20 July 2026–Malaysia-based HZ Green Pulp has taken a significant step in expanding its international presence through a new joint venture with UAE-headquartered Hotpack Global, creating a platform to accelerate the global adoption of sustainable foodservice packaging solutions.

The new company, HZP Eco Packaging, combines HZ Green Pulp’s manufacturing expertise with Hotpack’s international distribution network, with the aim of serving customers across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and North America.

The partnership marks an important milestone for HZ Green Pulp as it seeks to broaden the reach of its paper-based foodservice packaging business beyond its home market.

HZ Green Pulp, part of Malaysia-based HZ Corporation, is PulPac’s first licensed partner in Malaysia for Dry Molded Fiber (DMF) technology, a manufacturing process designed to produce fibre-based packaging with lower energy consumption and reduced water usage compared with conventional wet moulding methods.

Commenting on the partnership, Dato’ Dr Donald Yap, CEO of HZ Corporation, said:

“We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration creates for expanding the reach of high-quality paper-based packaging solutions into new markets. Together, we can support customers seeking reliable, certified alternatives that align with changing regylatory requirements and consumer expectations.”

According to the companies, the joint venture will manufacture and market a range of sustainable foodservice packaging products, including paper cups, paper bags, folding cartons and Dry Molded Fiber packaging solutions.

For Hotpack Global, the partnership strengthens its sustainability portfolio while expanding access to innovative fibre-based packaging technologies.

Mr Abdul Jebbar PB, Managing Director and Group CEO of Hotpack, said:

“We are happy to sign a pact with Malaysia’s Industry major HZ Corporation. This is a major step in Hotpack’s journey toward building a truly global sustainable packaging ecosystem. With Hotpack’s expansive market presence across the Middle East and HZ Corporation’s footprint across Southeast Asia, the combined entity is positioned to capture significant demand across multiple high-growth regions.”

The collaboration also reflects growing investment in fibre-based packaging technologies as brand owners and foodservice operators explore alternatives to conventional single-use packaging in response to evolving sustainability requirements and changing consumer expectations.
