Thai Coconut Expands Export Reach with Sidel Aseptic PET Line

19 June 2026 – Thai Coconut Public Company Limited is strengthening its global market presence with the installation of a new aseptic PET production line from Sidel, aimed at supporting its growing exports of coconut-based beverages.

Traditionally focused on cans and cartons, the Thai beverage producer has adopted PET packaging to meet international standards for food safety, production efficiency and packaging performance as it expands into overseas markets. According to the company, 90% of production from the new line will be designated for export.

To support this shift, Thai Coconut selected Sidel’s complete aseptic PET line, designed to handle both still and carbonated coconut beverages while offering flexibility across different bottle formats.

“We chose Sidel due to its strong reputation and proven expertise in the aseptic market,” said Montri Banraungsanor, Chief Technical Officer at Thai Coconut. “Sidel’s packaging team also developed a new bottle design that enhances both our marketing impact and shelf presence.”

At the heart of the installation is Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis® technology, operating at 45,000 bottles per hour. The system integrates preform sterilisation, blow moulding, filling and capping into a single process, helping maintain product integrity and extend shelf life for sensitive beverages such as coconut drinks.

A key feature of the Predis system is its dry preform decontamination process, which reduces water and chemical consumption compared to conventional wet sterilisation methods while maintaining high food safety standards.

The line also incorporates Evo-ON Performance, Sidel’s digital monitoring platform, allowing operators to track and optimise production performance in real time.

For Thai Coconut, the ability to process both carbonated and non-carbonated products on the same line offers greater flexibility while helping optimise total cost of ownership.

Beyond production efficiency, export compliance was also a major factor. The FDA-ready aseptic PET line enables Thai Coconut to meet regulatory requirements for markets such as the US, supporting its wider international growth ambitions.

The project highlights the growing role of aseptic PET in beverage applications beyond traditional dairy, as producers across Asia seek packaging formats that combine shelf stability, operational efficiency and export readiness.
